How-To: Clean Browser Cache

Clearing your cache is a simple fix for many minor web browsing issues. In order to clear your cache, please follow the directions for the browser that you are using.
Internet Explorer

  • Open Internet Explorer
  • Click on Tools
  • Click on Internet Options
  • On the General Tab, under Temporary Internet Files you should Delete Cookies, then Delete files
  • Then under Temporary Internet files click on Settings and make sure that you click on the option “every visit to this page” under Check for newer versions of stored pages.

Mozilla Firefox

  • Open Mozilla Firefox
  • Click on Tools
  • Click on Clear Recent History
  • Select “Everything” as your time range
  • Make sure that you have, at the very least, “Cookies” and “Cache” selected but it is recommended to clear all the fields that are selected by default.
  • Click the Clear Now button

Google Chrome

  • Open Google Chrome
  • Click on Tools (this may be represented as a wrench icon)
  • Click on Clear Browsing Data
  • Make sure that you have, at the very least, “Delete cookies” and “Empty the cache” selected but it is recommended to clear all the fields that are selected by default.
  • Select “Everything” from the Clear Data from this period dropdown.
  • Click the Clear Browsing Data button
